CHIS Environment Week 2023
Environment Week took place at CHIS from 6 to 9 June. This event coincided with World Environment Day and World Oceans Day. The Eco-Schools student leaders put in a fantastic effort with our Eco-Schools Coordinator, Ms Becky, to organise a range of activities to help raise awareness about the environment and sustainability issues. Activities included signing up to the CHIS Environment Pledge, germinating seeds, learning about different herbs, completing an endangered species quiz, making a nature collage and sorting rubbish in the recycling race.It was a fantastic opportunity for the school community to develop their appreciation of the fragility of our planet and to learn about different actions we can include in our daily routines to live more sustainably. Thank you to the Eco-Schools team for all of their work organising this event, and thank you to the parent volunteers (FOCHIS) who helped with the Primary activities.
