AAINAA HAIZUN

HEAD OF KEY STAGE 3

Ms Aainaa graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia with a Masters of Educational Psychology (2012) and Science and Computer with Education (Chemistry) (2009). Since 2009, she has been involved in teaching Malaysian and Cambridge Curriculum in other government and international schools. She has a passion in bringing the future leaders to their greatest potential by empowering their education.

MIGUEL GARCIA FERNANDEZ

HEAD OF KEY STAGE 4

Mr Miguel obtained his bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Teaching from the University of Oviedo, in Northern Spain, and has recently finished his first master's degree on Applied Languages from the University of Lleida, also in Spain. He is currently working on his thesis for his second master's degree -Teaching Spanish to Immigrants- and wants to keep researching about the way both native and non-native language teachers are perceived. He has taught in Spain, Romania, and the USA before joining Crescendo. His passions include martial arts, painting miniatures and learning about different cultures, languages, and history.

WINNY WONG KAI LI

HEAD OF KEY STAGE 5

Ms. Winny obtained her Master's Degree in Chemistry from University Technology Malaysia and Bachelor Degree (Hons) from University Tunku Abdul Rahman. Prior to teaching at CHIS, she had taught A-Levels and Foundation Programmes at university and college since year 2010. She is a trained Cambridge A-Levels Chemistry teacher and also has experience as a University Placement advisor who gives guidance and advice on university applications. She is a passionate teacher who wants to make a difference in her students’ lives. During her free time, she enjoys watching movie with her family.

MARIA GABRIELA MARINESCU

HEAD OF YEAR 7

Ms. Maria has earned a BA in Psychology from the Faculty of Sociology-Psychology from Bucharest, and she is currently working on her Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish from the University of Lleida, Spain. She has had the opportunity to live in Spain before moving to South Carolina, USA, where she worked for 4 years at a Montessori Elementary School. She enjoys the challenge of experiencing other cultures and their languages. She also likes travelling and painting, and she is looking forward to this new experience as a Teacher at CHIS.

TAN WOEN TIAN

HEAD OF YEAR 8

Mr Tan joined CHIS as a Secondary Mandarin teacher. He earned his Bachelor Degree (Hons) from University of Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), majoring in Chinese Studies. He enjoys teaching, and has taught in Chinese Independent school and International school in Kuala Lumpur. During his leisure time, he enjoys playing badminton, jogging and philosophizing. His next life challenge is to experience the way of St. James.

STEPHENIE ANNA CHARLES

HEAD OF YEAR 9

Ms. Stephenie obtained her Associates Degree with Honours in International Relations from Florida, USA. After almost 10 years of living in the States, she returned to Malaysia in 2010 and opened her own English language centre in Pasir Gudang, Johor. She is passionate in teaching students of all levels and truly believes that every child has the potential to shine, no matter their background. When not busy teaching, she enjoys watching movies, shopping and hanging out with her son.

MICHAEL DAVID DIVES

HEAD OF YEAR 10

Mr Michael obtained his Geography degree (BSc. Geography Honours) from Rhodes University, South Africa, and his PGDT from Open University Malaysia. His passion in renewable energy and sustainability led to him conducting a research program in Sweden. Mr Michael has taught English in South Korea for 2 years as well as Geography in Malaysia for the last 4 years. He is passionate about taking students on excursions to learn the subject first hand. He enjoys long distance running and travelling the world.

NURUL HUDA

HEAD OF YEAR 11

Ms Nurul Huda joins Crescendo-HELP International School as a Bahasa Malaysia Teacher. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Mathematics) from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. Previously, she has worked in an international boarding school for 3 years before joining the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI) holding a post as Assistant Director cum Coordinator for Children, Students and Youth Programme. Over at INTEGRITI, she led integrity courses and seminars throughout the nation for four years. Nevertheless, her strong desire to teach brings her back into the classroom. She loves traveling, cooking, writing and reading.
